We are now Swiss!

May 24th 2021, Geneva.

We are pleased to announce that the Trustless Computing Association has been formally transformed from an Italian into a Swiss entity domiciled in the Canton of Geneva.

This is the natural evolution after over 2 years whereby our association, and its spin-off startup, TRUSTLESS.AI, have primarily operated from Geneva and Zurich. Switzerland has proven a great host for our vision and wide-ranging initiatives to promote digital democracy, public safety, and liberties.

Especially fitting is its history and aspirations of neutrality in the new Digital Age, its privacy-friendly legislation, and the fact that Geneva is home to many UN agencies and over 200 NGOs promoting international peace, justice, democracy, and liberties in Cyberspace.

Next June 24-25th, during the 8th edition of the Free and Safe in Cyberspace conference in Geneva/online, we'll formally establish and finalize the governance and technical principles of the Trustless Computing Certification Body (TCCB).

TCCB will be a new Swiss-based ultra-resilient international democratic governance and certification body that will certify IT systems for digital human communications that will radically exceed state-of-the-art in privacy, security, and democratic control, while concurrently ensuring international legitimate lawful access.

Many Swiss experts, companies, industry associations, and NGOs participated in our last 6th edition in Geneva in 2019 and our 7th edition in Zurich in 2020. Top Swiss experts have joined our advisory boards.

The Trustless Computing Association is a Swiss association, according to Articles 60 of the Swiss Civil Code. As per the Founders, Meeting signed today, the Italian association established in 2013 by the same name, and previously named “Open Media Cluster”, has transferred “all rights and IP rights related to the activities of the association” to the newly constituted Swiss Trustless Computing Association” to the new Swiss entity, which includes all rights about the Trustless Computing Certification Body, R&D initiatives and publications, and the Free and Safe in Cyberspace conference series.

Find here more information about our governance, and links to copies of Founders Meeting and the new Statute that prescribes the conversion of the Trustless Computing Association into the Trustless Computing Certification Body, with whole new governance, as fundraising goals are met by the association or its spin-off startup.
